Developing Cross- Cultural Integration -- A Learning Program for the Global Business Community


The most essential factor in a global environment is the capacity to

IDENTIFY, UNDERSTAND, RESPECT, and APPRECIATE

the cultural profiles of counterparts.

This training session/seminar is aimed at addressing and answering the following challenges:

  • Reducing conflicts arising from differences in cultural norms and values BEFORE it is too late
  • Increasing effectiveness of multi-cultural teams by facilitating communication
  • Supporting the process of sharing organizational best practices and implementing them world wide

Regarding the People's Republic of China, Cross-Cultural Integration can contribute to a dramatic improvement of relations among Westerners and Chinese officials, private entrepreneurs, managers, and all levels of Chinese staff.

Some examples are:

  • Overcoming reciprocal prejudices and stereotypes rooted in history, ideology, or simply - ignorance
  • Increasing the mutual tolerance of differences in the ways people from different countries are used to doing business

Other objectives of this training session/seminar are:

  • Restructure participant's cognitive models
  • Instruct through discussion and experiments with organizational behavior

By the end of the training session, participants will have a greater understanding of how to:

  • Communicate and negotiate more effectively with Chinese counterparts
